Not just 'Sports Massage' our sessions can include any of the following; Sports massage, Deep tissue massage, Trigger point therapy, Myofascial release, Dry needling/acupuncture, Gait analysis, Athletic taping, Injury assessment and treatment, Exercise rehabilitation.
Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue mobilisation and can be applied in a sporting and non-sporting context. It involves a wide range of techniques that include effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, frictions, kneading, wringing, hacking and trigger pointing. A sports massage is used for general relaxation of the muscular skeletal system as well as being directed towards any problem areas. Sports massage helps relieve muscular tension, break down adhesion's, mobilise soft tissues and reduce pain.
You can expect your practitioner to integrate advice, assessment, education and rehabilitation into all aspects of your life.
We will use a complete approach, considering the whole needs of the individual to allow optimal recovery and placing the patient at the centre of their own care.

What is Chiropractic for dogs?
We all know dogs love to play, jump, run and are not shy of having fun! Sometimes (even minor) accidents like bashing into another dog, tripping over a tree, or repetitive movements, whether it’s highly trained agility dogs to simply playing fetch in the park or walking on the lead, can all have an impact on your dogs body.

Chiropractic helps to restore and maintain optimal movement, so your dog can continue to do these things whilst avoiding any pain and compensatory patterns, and also preventing injuries from repetitive wear and tear.

If you’ve noticed any of following, your dog may benefit from Chiropractic care:

Behaviour change
Postural Change
Injury
Reluctance to jump, get on the sofa, in and out of cars, or climb stairs
Difficulty standing, laying or sitting
Altered tail or head carriage
Pain, stiffness or sensitivity to touch
Irregular or changed gait, limp or lameness
Arthritic or other age related changes
Continued licking/ scratching on a certain area

WANT TO LEARN MORE?
It’s great to see chiropractic is being used more and more commonly along side traditional veterinary medicine, as an additional therapy to treat biomechanical and musculoskeletal issues. Chiropractic can also assist medical care in pre and post operative cases, commonly elbow and hip dysplasia in dogs.

Ultimately, we want to keep your dog as happy and healthy as possible!

Samantha graduated from Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 2017 with a masters of Chiropractic. During her time in AECC she participated in multiple different projects including working in the newborn breastfeeding clinic, setting up a community outreach with local schools and assisting with the rehabilitation programme for a F1 pit-crew team.

1st Chiropractic

She first fell in love with Chiropractic after receiving care from Dr Emma Scullion at 1st Chiropractic Centres following multiple knee surgeries. Ever since then she became driven to become a Chiropractor herself in order to help people receive the same benefits that Chiropractic care gave her. She is passionate about helping people get the most out of life as life is short and therefore there is no need to live in pain.

Nordic Health

After graduation Samantha moved to Finland with her Husband and fell in love with the active lifestyle that is promoted in Nordic countries. She opened up two successful clinics and managed to gain experience treating patients varying from professional athletes to newborn babies to horses and dogs. Samantha incorporates this love of active healthy lifestyle in treating her patients by looking at their body and health as a whole in addition to treating their injuries and pains. After Samantha and her husband were blessed with their baby boy Alexander, they decided that it was time to find some new experiences and moved back to the UK. Samantha hopes to bring some of that Nordic Health into the lives of her patients and help them enjoy being active and feel good in their own body.

Julia has had a love for Massage since she was a child, receiving treatment when she was a Table Tennis player in Russia. She enjoyed it after some energetic training sessions and having first hand experience of how much massage effects recovery. It always amazed me what you can discover and also help people only by touch.

She finished remedial massage which included Swedish massage as well as manual lymphatic drainage course in Godelman International College and Clinic of Complementary Medicine.

I started as a massage therapist at a Gym in addition to my own clinic at home and have a great level of experience within all walks of life.

I enjoy relaxing my patients with a wonderful experience.
